I am a Brazilian journalist who chose truth over safety — and paid for it with exile.
For years, I worked within Brazil's media environment believing journalism could still fulfill its role. That belief ended when I began exposing how political power, judicial authority, and ideological movements were merging to control speech and suppress dissent.
What followed was not disagreement. It was persecution.
The Day President Trump Tweeted Me
On November 20, 2020, President Donald J. Trump shared my interview with John Hines from Team Trump.
That moment represented something larger than recognition. It was validation that independent journalism — rooted in truth and courage — had reached the highest levels of leadership.
It also made the target on my back even larger.
When the President of the United States amplifies your voice, those who want you silenced work even harder to destroy you.

Terça Livre: Speaking When Silence Was Safer
I founded Terça Livre to speak freely about politics, culture, faith, and power — without permission from the State. The project grew quickly, reaching millions of Brazilians who found something increasingly rare in my country: open, unfiltered speech.

Remaining in Brazil meant choosing between silence or destruction. I chose exile.
The Wiretapping Scandal That Changed Everything
In July 2020, I exposed evidence of illegal wiretapping devices targeting President Bolsonaro in Brasília. That aired during prime time on Brazil’s second-largest TV network. The investigation revealed portable interception equipment at strategic locations, with knowledge reaching the highest levels of Brazil's judiciary — yet no warning was given to the President.
This wasn't just a story. It was a well documented proof that institutional power was being weaponized against elected leadership.
The response wasn't investigation. It was retaliation. This exposé became one of the primary justifications for my persecution by the Supreme Court.
Victory: Removed from Interpol's System
In October 2024, the Interpol Commission for the Control of Files granted my defense team's request and permanently deleted my information from their system — a significant legal victory against judicial overreach.
The Red Notice That Failed
Justice Alexandre de Moraes requested that my name be added to Interpol's Red List with public disclosure. Interpol restricted it to police authorities only, denying the public spectacle he sought.
Complete Removal
After careful review, Interpol's oversight commission determined the inclusion was unjustified and ordered all my data permanently removed from their system — vindicating my position that this was political persecution, not legitimate law enforcement.
When international institutions review the facts without political pressure, truth prevails.
Three and a Half Years Without My Family
Exile is often discussed in political terms. Rarely is it understood in human ones.
For three and a half years, I lived separated from my family. During that time, my wife and children had no stable home, moving from house to house, relying on the generosity of others.
